Well, it's only been a mere 7 months since I posted anything. I definitely get the booby prize for keeping on top of this! We are all doing good. Very ready for summer--and some decent weather. We had the coldest Winter in 9 years. It was freezing and there was LOTS of snow. The kids loved it--of course, kids seem to be pretty adaptable to whatever.

Only 5 days of school left and we are done with another year. Sure went fast! The boys had their last piano lesson yesterday and will have the year-end recital on Sunday and we are taking a break until school starts again. We are looking forward to a busy summer and will hopefully do plenty of playing. Baseball starts in 2 weeks (I am coaching Colton's baseball team this year--woo hoo!) We are going to the Sand Dunes in a couple of weeks and then to Idaho for a vacation/family reunion (or torture as Jeff says.) We are looking forward to seeing lots of family along the way.

We have our garden spot all ready to plant, now we are just waiting on Mother Nature. Last week (the 6th of May) we had a low of ELEVEN degrees. All my tulips and daffodils are looking rather dead now. It better warm up soon because our kitchen looks like a nursery with all the plants we started a while back. We won't have room pretty quick. The joys of living at 7600 ft.

How we keep busy...

Taylor and Colton entered the Hershey 's track meet last week. This is Taylor in the middle of a jump for the long jump. They had 600+ kids doing all sorts of events that day. It was pretty exciting.

The "hole". Braiden and Taylor decided to dig a hole in Lisa's back yard to make a fish pond. They have spent countless hours digging...just for fun! I wish I had half their energy!

Natalia's birthday

We had a fun party complete with the inflatable cake, bubble machine, streamers, balloons, cousins, aunts, grandparents, great grandparents and a very unusual cake. (I have come to grips with the fact that I will NEVER have a career as a cake decorator. The cake was supposed to be a flower garden with purple and yellow flowers--the purple however, turned out more like a sickly gray, then with the green mint chip ice cream it looked more like a flower garden after a heavy frost--it wasn't too pretty. We were really missing Cheryl that day.) Natlaia however, didn't seem to mind and had a great time. Taylor and Colton got her a new bike which she had put 100 miles on already.




Lisa's family got her a new tea set and she and Nate drank a LOT of tea (water) that afternoon.

Jeff vs. the tree

This was a HUGE tree that was hanging over this ladies house and our bishop thought it needed to be cut down before it blew over so he called Jeff--I wondered as I sat there watching him if the church has good insurance (ha ha).

Tubing on Cumbres

With all the snow we went tubing with Lisa's family and snowmobiling as much as possible. Cumbres had about 12-14 ft. of snow this year. It was amazing.

This was in Feb. He would climb up it as fast as we got him down. Jeff finally put it away with him hanging on to it trying to get back on.

Spring Break

We went to Denver last month for Spring Break. This is at the Museum of Natural History.



They had a "gold" display on the top floor as their special exhbit. This is a real person that was on display. He held so still you'd never know he was real. We caught him walking from one spot to the next. Natalia was a little freaked out by him.
